Using QR codes to bring our stories to life!

I recently read on "Chartchums" of a teacher in the US who was using QR codes to share children's oral language with parents. I thought that this might be a great idea to try in Room 7 with our Greek Legends storybook.

After publishing their story for the class book, children were then able to record their story using Vocaroo, an online recording app. Simply by clicking the QR code generator in Vocaroo, and printing off the resulting code, we can then attach the code to the story. Anyone using a smart device (Phone or tablet/ipad) can open up our legend book, scan each code and read the legend, whilst listening to the author read it out loud too!

Many children have finished their legend and their recording, so come on into Room 7 and have a read and a listen. Don't forget your smart phone!
