Gymnastics

We have started a 5 week block of gymnastics. We will have 2 sessions a week and explore the ideas of balance, movement and landing. In this picture you can see us exploring difference balance ideas:

Carnival of the Animals

We have been investigating the piece of music " The Carnival of the Animals" which is a musical suite of fourteen movements by the French Romantic composer Camille Saint-Saëns.

We were very lucky to have a 'hands on' music lesson from Mary-Carmel Rohloff last Monday. The children learned about dynamics, tempo and volume before trying these musical ideas out on various instruments.

Sometimes when we draw our brains work harder than our eyes. We have been learning to use our Eyes a lot more when we draw.

"Go By Bike" Day

Last Wednesday we held a "Go By Bike" event at school. Over 350 children biked or scooted to school!
