Easter Holidays
Happy Easter everyone!
Our Easter break lasts for 2 weeks, and comes at the end of a very busy term. What a lot of learning we have done! Mr Gum Stories, elephant reports, butterfly lifecycles, Butterfly wing paintings, number place-value, and so much more!
Over the holidays, remember to visit Eastbourne Library at least twice! Keep the reading going, my veracious readers!
Visit Mathletics as often as you can! Will Room 7 regain our top 50 spot from a couple of weeks ago?
Here are some Easter themed activities for you to do during the holidays too!
Farewell to Lea, we hope you grow to love your new school as much as you have loved Muritai. We look forward to you returning in 2 years :-)
Have fun Room 7! Treat your parents well over the holidays!

ANZAC Day
Room 7 will be investigating why, after almost 100 years, we still remember ANZAC Day.
What relevance does it have for us in 2012?
We will be using the Year 3-4 ANZAC Day wiki to help us understand more about the ANZAC spirit.
To start off, watch the clip below about Simpson and his Donkey. We have this book in the school library, have you read it?

Taking a different approach
In Room 7 I use different teaching techniques to help students learn in different ways
Recently students learned about the anatomy of butterflies. Rather than write a report about what was learned, students made a plastercine model and then labeled it.
Have a look!
